Life in all its fullness
A special weekend of community events and opportunities to hear stories of faith with Bishop Rachel and a team of Curates.
22nd - 24th February

The weekend will include the following:-

Friday evening
Jazz Night at Whittington Church with local band ‘Stolen Chocolates’

Includes light refreshments


Saturday morning
10.30am Countryside Breakfast at Craven Arms with Julian Wilson -

Chaplain to the Agricultural University

Tickets £10. Please book in by 17th Feb.

10am Craft event for all ages at the Community Church, Andoversford

Saturday afternoon
Bishop Rachel giving a talk entitled ‘Liedentity’ about  body image and issues of social media at Shipton Reading Room at 2pm

The Bishop of Gloucester the Rt Revd Rachel Treweek will be speaking about her work with young people focused on the issue of value rooted in appearance, and how low self-esteem is being fuelled by the pressures of social media to look a certain way.

The talk will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

5pm Wine Tasting event at Salperton Shoot Barn

7.30pm for 8pm Meal at The Frogmill

Two course meal with tea and coffee £27.50 per head.

With the Bishop of Gloucester, the Rt. Revd Rachel Treweek as our after-dinner speaker.

Menu Choices:
Main Course
Braised blade of beef, English mustard mash, savoy, silver-skin onion, mushrooms and bacon
Pan friend salmon, jospered gem lettuce, samphire, tomato and dill dressing
Wild garlic and spinach arancini, roasted baby red onion, courgette, pea and brown beans (vegetarian)

Desserts
Apple and cranberry crumble, vanilla anglaise
Iced lemon curd parfait, crisp meringue

Sunday afternoon
2pm Leisurely Walk from Hawling to Brockhampton

Come and enjoy an afternoon walk from Hawling to Brockhampton where you can enjoy tea and cake (if you want to!). Meet at Hawling Church where you can leave your car, car drivers will be transported back to Hawling Church. The walk will take about 90 minutes.
Dogs on leads welcome on the walk but are not allowed in the memorial hall or transfer cars. The Bishop of Gloucester will walk with us. If bad weather then check first on 07973 620279.


3.30pm Tea and Cake at Brockhampton Village Hall

Come and enjoy tea and cakes by Georgina Oldham and hear the Revd Sarah Todd talk about her faith journey. There is no charge for this event.
